About Us

Welcome to Robert W. Groves High School—home of the Rebels and the Pride of the Westside!

Established in 1958, Groves High School has a long-standing tradition of excellence, opportunity, and community pride. Located at the Davis Edwards Harris Educational Multicampus in Garden City, Georgia, Groves proudly serves students in grades 9 through 12 as part of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.

Named in honor of Robert W. Groves, a dedicated public servant and advocate for education, our school continues to uphold a legacy rooted in leadership, service, and student empowerment. As a Title I school, we are deeply committed to ensuring equitable access to high-quality instruction, meaningful support systems, and opportunities that prepare every student for success in college, career, and life.

Groves High School offers a comprehensive academic program that includes Honors courses, a full range of College Board Advanced Placement (AP) classes, and a strong Dual Enrollment program, allowing eligible students to earn college credit while completing their high school diploma.

Our campus also features a state-of-the-art Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) building, designed to provide hands-on, industry-aligned instruction in high-demand career fields. Groves proudly offers three specialized Choice Programs:

  • Maritime Logistics – preparing students for careers in global trade, transportation, and supply chain management.

  • Aviation Manufacturing and Service – providing immersive training in aviation systems, maintenance, and emerging technologies.

  • Heavy Equipment Operations – equipping students with practical skills in construction operations, safety protocols, and equipment management.

In addition, Groves maintains an expansive Work-Based Learning program, connecting students to real-world internships, apprenticeships, and industry partnerships that strengthen career readiness and employability skills.

Leadership development is also a cornerstone of our school culture. Groves is home to a large and highly respected JROTC program, where students build discipline, character, teamwork, and service-oriented leadership skills.

Outside the classroom, Groves offers a robust athletics program that builds leadership, resilience, and school spirit. From Football and Basketball to Track and Field, Softball, and Soccer, and more, our student-athletes exemplify Rebel Pride through discipline, teamwork, and competitive excellence.

As a school community, we believe in the power of relationships, inclusivity, and community partnerships. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive learning environment where all students feel seen, heard, and valued.

At Robert W. Groves High School, we are striving for progress—every day, in every way. Whether you're a prospective family, returning student, or community stakeholder, we invite you to experience what makes Groves truly great.
